My lovely bride gave me this very cool book for Christmas and I read it super fast.  (okay so it’s about 50% drawings to help tell the story-but still the fastest I’ve ever read 533 pages.)  It’s called The Invention of Hugo Cabret and was written by Brian Selznick.  It also won the famed Caldecott Medal.

It was a great story and an incredily creative medium for telling and enhancing the story.  Check it out and read it to your kids.

Thanks for all your lovely words of encouragement.  I am excited about some fun post and ideas for keeping this here blog spunky.

narnia_books

I am currently reading The Chronic (what) cles of Narnia.  I have never read them all the way through.  I just finished the 3rd book (although I have already read number 4-Prince Caspian),  A Horse and His Boy.

If you have never read them and you like fiction, it is an amazing series.  And you can see all of these truths sprinkled throughout.  I am loving it.

What’s your favorite one of the 7?

I am thinking about returning regularly to this here blog, but I am not sure I even still have readers.

Step 1-If you are still reading and would like me to post more regularly then comment and let me know.  (this isn’t an attempt to service my #1 love language of words of affirmation :)

Step 2-I will begin to write about photography shoots and books and stuff.  What big t-licious used to write about.

Happy New Year!
