I have a simple thought when it comes to integrity and leadership.
It separates great leaders from those in positional leadership. It sustains leaders for the long haul. It allows teams to trust the leadership.
So here’s the simple thought. Consistency is the word that can be interchanged with integrity. When we talk about the integrity of a bridge, we are talking about how consistent it is. That we can trust every inch of the bridge because of that consistency.
It’s no different in leadership. People want to TRUST that the leader that is coming to work is consistent. For the most part, same day in and same day out. We have different days. Some good, some bad. But leaders who have integrity are know as consistent leaders.
Choose integrity/consistency at all cost. It will create teams that thrive because they know what work looks like and which leaders will show up.
